The hike Massane is probably one of the classics of the department or at least around Argelès-sur-mer. Indeed it offers an incredible panoramic landscape, between sea and mountains, after having climbed a part of the massive Albères.

You can access it either by the park of Valmy, where you will discover quite quickly vestiges of dolmen. In the heart of the forest and near the nature reserve of the massane you will arrive at the top. This hike is difficult. For families with children or for walks, we advise you to stop at the level of dolmens.

You can also choose to leave from Lavall, a hamlet in the municipality of Sorède. You will walk along the river before climbing to the top of the tower. This course is shaded but here too difficult.

The stroll along the coastal path is suitable for everyone. You will follow the Mediterranean Sea from the Mas Larrieu National Nature Reserve to the Calanque de l’ouille. And for the more adventurous, you can continue your route to Collioure and surrounding villages. You will discover the beginning of the rocky coast.

Finally, to gain more height, you can climb to the Madeloc Tower, located at the top of Collioure. This 13th century watchtower is accessible by hiking, cycling or car. This military tower now offers a magnificent panorama of the Albères.
