The concept of camping

Located in Argeles sur mer, the campsite Les Chênes Rouges **** offers you a green and family environment for a stay in a caravan or a mobile home.

You can go to the beach, located 4 km from the campsite, by bike or with the free shuttles (morning and evening).

Close to many hiking trails and beautiful Catalan villages, we will advise you for your explorations outside the campsite during your stay.

In our campsite, the key words are: calm, serenity and conviviality.
You will be able to share simple moments and enjoy with family or friends.

We propose animations in connection with nature and the respect of the environment, in particular games and workshops, as well as outings to allow you to discover the natural spaces of the Eastern Pyrenees.

Here, your pets are welcome. Don’t forget to tell us their size and their name when you book your stay.

Respect for ecosystems

Preserving nature is essential for a healthy and sustainable future. By caring for nature and our environment, we ensure that future generations can enjoy all the benefits of a healthy planet. In our campsite, we make sure that each tree is planted in a new area of the campsite and/or we have planted new subjects.

Between each pitch, we complete the hedges with shrubs and other plants to give you privacy and greenery for your vacation. A new space behind the sanitary block will be developed under the direction of Beatrice: a Zen garden, where Mediterranean plants will be planted alongside a permaculture vegetable garden created and maintained by you (under the supervision of our host).

In addition to promoting sustainability and helping the environment, these initiatives also create a more relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for campers.

Better water management

In order to further reduce water consumption, we use water drops drawn naturally from our green spaces to irrigate them.

This quest to preserve our precious water resources is also very noticeable in our new sanitary block with the installation of presto timers to limit the duration of water flow.

In addition, campers will have their own coin-operated dumping area to limit water consumption.

We hope that by taking these small but significant steps, we can all help preserve this precious resource for future generations.

A total eco-responsible transition

On the activity side :

In our program of activities, some of them are designed to make you aware of the environment, and to teach you to respect it. We offer games and fun workshops, as well as outings to help you discover the natural areas of the Pyrenees-Orientales. By learning about the environment in a fun way, we hope to encourage everyone to take small steps to protect our planet.

On the infrastructure side :

In our campsites, we strive to use natural and sustainable materials as often as possible. This includes wood infrastructure and wood chips for our playgrounds, as well as permeable flooring that allows rainwater to naturally seep into the ground. We avoid using petrochemical materials as much as possible, as they have a significant negative impact on ecosystems.

Life at the campsite:

In addition to the fact that we use as few phytosanitary products as possible, the cleaning products are mostly organic and ecological. They are derived from green chemistry and have a limited impact on fauna and flora.

In addition, we limit our printing in order to save resources and help the environment. By sending emails instead of printing, we can save even more! And we use recycled paper to reduce our impact on the planet.

A dedicated recycling area

Our new selective sorting area makes it easier for you to recycle your waste. For this purpose, we have changed our waste garbage cans for semi-underground columns made of recycled plastic. In addition, we recycle batteries and ink cartridges.

The collective sewage system to which we have connected the campsite sends the wastewater directly to a treatment center, thus guaranteeing an environmentally friendly treatment. This ecological commitment is part of our global approach to quality and preservation of nature for future generations.
