Discover the lifting of the cork in Argelès-sur-mer

The Camping Les Chênes Rouges in Argeles-sur-mer is located in the heart of a forest of cork oaks, at the foot of the Albères massif and 4 km from the first beaches of Argelès-sur-mer.

This geographical location and this natural specificity gives rise to the cork harvest in this region. This event takes place about every 10 years. So, in 2018, the campground proceeded to remove that bark, in front of you, to give the oaks a beautiful red color.
