The animations in low season
Whether it’s for the spring vacations in April, for a long weekend during the bridges of May, to play hooky in June or to extend the summer in September, the campsite Les Chênes Rouges will be your privileged place for vacations.
With a generally mild and sunny weather, you will be able to spend a pleasant moment in the heart of the nature and under the soft sun of Argelès-sur-mer.
What to do at the campsite Les Chênes Rouges in low season ?
Aquatic activities
Take advantage of our heated aquatic area from April, slide down one of our 4 water slides after enjoying the view of the Alberes mountains or relax around the pool on our many deckchairs in the shade of a parasol.
For the little ones, we suggest you discover our playful paddling pool with its numerous water games and its little slide to do like the grown-ups.
The aquatic area will be your meeting place to meet with your family and have fun together.
The animations
For children
The animations proposed in low season are for everyone: games, sports tournaments, quizzes and bingo are family activities adapted to all.
Don’t forget the big egg hunt organized at the campsite on April 13, 2020 for the little (and big) gourmets for a good time with your children.
- As a couple, with family or friends
Our organizer regularly proposes you to go hiking to discover the Albères massif and to recharge your batteries in the middle of nature. You will be able to discover for example the hike of Notre Dame de Vie. The walk is done at your own pace so that everyone can enjoy this moment in nature.
We also invite you to discover the oenology, by making you visit the cellars and the domain of our partner, the Mas Bécha. On the program, visit of the domain, discovery of the harvesting process and tasting (attention, a participation can be asked).
Argeles-sur-mer and its surroundings have a beautiful heritage and we invite you to discover the surroundings, by proposing you for example to visit the royal castle of Collioure (attention a participation can be asked to you).
On the spot, we offer sports tournaments (petanque for example) but also quizzes, games, bingo, … to meet with family, friends or campers. We also offer you to relax and unwind with sports such as stretching.
Sports facilities
Want to spend some time? Why not try out our multi-sport court: basketball, soccer, but also volleyball, whether with our animator or with friends, you have all the space you need to train and have fun.
Looking for a challenge? From April to September, our animator proposes sports tournaments.
And to practice, try our bowling alley! A large training and game area to play pétanque, but also mölkky or any game you want.
For the children, the playgrounds will be ideal to amuse them: castle with levitating bridge, tree climbing, climbing wall, … so many spaces to let their imagination run free and to make friends on the campsite.
What to do in and around Argelès-sur-mer ?
With the little ones
The discovery farm of Saint André is our favorite of the visits to make with the little ones: animal park, vegetable garden, labyrinth, playground, go-karting, … What to have fun with the family in a natural setting. In addition, for the Easter period, several egg hunts are organized.
The turtle valley, based in Sorède, is a park dedicated to turtles, but not only: reptiles, mammals, … you will discover many species in a shady park and at the foot of the river “Le Tassio”.
Want to have fun with your family? The Paradise Adventure leisure center will please everyone: aqua-slide, accrobranches, golf, canyoning, …

Hiking, canyoning, mountain biking or cycling (such as the Eurovélo 8), diving or kayaking and paddling, are some of the activities that will seduce the most sporty vacationers

Our region is very sensitive to the ecological impact and tends more and more to have an ecoresponsible approach. Thus, we invite you to discover the marine reserve and the underwater paths of Banyuls-sur-mer and Cerbère, the biodiversarium of Banyuls-sur-mer, the site of Paulilles, the lake of Bouillouses, the site of Dosses, the pond of Canet-en-Roussillon, the massif of Albères and the park of Massane…
