Walking the streets of Cadaques

Continuing along the sea, on the Spanish side, you will be able to visit the village of Salvador Dali at 1 h 30 of the campsite: Cadaqués. Originally a commercial city, it has become one of the most beautiful tourist cities in northern Spain with its white and blue houses and flowery streets. Located on rocks and in front of the sea, this village will seduce you with its atypical rocks.

If you like sailing, hiking, biking or even gastronomy, you will be amazed in this Spanish village. You can visit the old town of Cadaqués, full of medieval history, the church of Santa Maria de Cadaqués mixing gothic and baroque style. You can also discover the hermitage of Sant Baldiri or the lighthouse of Cala Nans.

This city has attracted many artists such as Picasso, but it is especially Salvador Dali who has left his mark. Thus, you will be able to visit the Dali house, a museum that illustrates the life of the artist, but also reveals some curiosities. And for art lovers, the city is full of galleries.

Discover the beautiful city of Rosas

You can also discover the city of Rosas, 1 hour and a half away from the campsite. Among the cliffs, coves and sandy beaches, you can dive into the waters of the Mediterranean, especially in the natural park of Cap de Creus. For hiking enthusiasts, there are many circuits with different levels of difficulty to please the whole family.

Here again, history is very present with the “Ciutadella”, a citadel with remains dating back several centuries, from ancient Greece to the medieval era. The old town of Rosas also offers multiple architectural treasures, including the church of Santa Maria. Thus, history and art are intertwined in this city of the Costa Brava.
