At the Chênes Rouges we reduce the sound of our activities to preserve the fauna of the surrounding forests and to hear the birds sing
We have targeted several partners who share the same eco-responsible values as Les Chênes Rouges campsite, in order to guide holidaymakers in their discovery of the area. We also propose several routes that you can take while limiting the carbon impact.
Raising awareness among holidaymakers
We make our holidaymakers aware of the need to preserve the environment by organising nature activities: hiking, recycling workshops, meditation, etc.
A QR code available in the accommodation provides useful information on the small actions that can be taken to protect the planet: use of air conditioning, energy management, waste sorting.
Water and green space management
We have installed water-saving devices in our showers and taps to reduce our water consumption.
We are vigilant about our water consumption, so we don’t water our green spaces thanks to Mediterranean plants. We are also a Zéro Phyto (Zero Phyto) establishment: we don’t use pesticides!
New this year! We’re recycling the water in our swimming pool for an eco-responsible swim!
The use of renewable energy
We have changed our electricity supplier to Llum, a local company that allows us to use 80% green energy.
We have also invested in LED bulbs to reduce our electricity consumption and a solar-powered, motion-sensing security lighting system to avoid disturbing nocturnal animals.
Selective sorting and waste reduction
At Le Chênes Rouges, we have implemented a selective sorting system for all waste produced by our establishment. We also encourage our guests to sort their waste to reduce their environmental impact. We also dispose of waste in waste collection centres or in specific collection centres.
We have put in place actions to reduce the waste produced by our establishment. We offer our guests the opportunity to buy solid soaps at the grocery shop to reduce plastic consumption.
The welcome kits are now available only on request at the reception. All our cleaning products are eco-labelled.
